Tattoos on Ferrets

Q - I just have a question you might be able to answer; Lola has two blue circle tattoos on her ear and one on her foot. What does that mean? We just adopted her this year in April when she was 2 months old.

A - She is a Marshall Farms Ferret. The 2 dots on her ear mean she was fixed and sent glands removed. A barbaric thing to do to these tiny little fur kids but they do. The dot on her toe indicated which technician preformed the surgery. Each Technician has a certain toe to indicate it is their work.
