Hi Brenda, I'm so glad you emailed. I was actually thinking the other day that I need to email you but time got away from me. They are doing so well. They get a lot of love and attention I've created a file of some pics. Mikey stars in most of them because he is the one also yelling "Mom get a picture!!!!" But all of the kids love on them throught the day. We now have 4 ferret playpens to gate off different areas so they can spend their day with us. Wingnuts follow up has been delayed with COVID but he acts similarly to Finn in terms of awake/asleep time. He definitely is more mellow but just as alert. My favorite pic is when I was trying to get a photo of Finn giving Mikey kisses on the side of his head and Finn instead stuck his tongue in Mikeys ear, lol. So funny. We are all doing well, although the kids are missing their activities something fierce. How are you doing?

Shelter Response: You're in the health care business are you not? That's great, I'm thrilled you are so willing to adjust to living with ferrets. It's the humans that have to adjust if they are going to be happy fuzz butts. That's good. Watch for drooling and staring off into space, that is an indication that his blood glucose levels are no longer stable. Waiting for the weather to warm up a tad more so I can go hang out in the garden. We've had a couple of days that I was able to get out there. Thanks for the pictures, thanks for loving the boys
Initial Contact, February 1, 2020:
Hello, my name is Ivan. My wife and I are moving house, and unfortunately we don't have room in the new place for our two male ferrets. They are Wingnut, 5 yrs old and Finn, 2 yrs. While they haven't been vaccinated, we have talked to our vet about getting it done and can start the process shortly (if I recall correctly he told us the rabies and distemper shots couldn't or shouldn't be done together and there would have to be sometime between appointments). The other requirements on your list should be no problem at all. Please let us know if you have room, or a family willing to take them in. We tried going through personal contacts first but couldn't find anyone who wanted to care for them, and I can't bring myself to risk the Facebook marketplace or Craigslist. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
