September 24, 2020:
Penelope is gone. I got the sick pen stripped and put back together. I dismantled the fountain in the sick pen, got that cleaned and running with clean water. I moved Razzle over to the sick bank into the cage Penelope was in.
July 19, 2019:
Jax, it seems what I am feeling in his belly is an enlarged spleen, that in itself is no big deal, however OFD says he can feel the spleen has gnarly bumps all over it. That is a problem, OFD says it's probably Lymphoma. We need to schedule surgery to remove the spleen. We first talked about doing a course of antibiotic but the bumps pretty much tell us that is not going to make a difference. That surgery is an overnight gig so I will need to coordinate with Donna for pick-up on a Friday night to meet her 1/2 way to get him home.
July 12, 2019:
I'm still giving Jax and Penelope Carafate before meds. Jax is getting just soup, this afternoon when I was moving him I felt something very large in his belly area, tonight when I gave him soup he did not eat all of it which tells me he probably has something pushing on his tummy to make him feel full. He will be going to see OFD on the 18th.
July 11, 2019:
Something is up with either Penelope or Jax - I am finding black sticky poo on their pee pads. I keep missing who is leaving them. I thought a few days ago it was Penelope but I'm not so sure today I gave them both Carafate, the black sticky poo is turning to a brown formed poo. I will continue with Carafate for a few days.
August 27, 2018:
Penelope is now eating soup out of a bowl, I gave her the meds in a dropper last night then set the soup in her cage for her, the bowl was empty this morning. I was not sure if she or Jax ate it. tonight I did the dropper with meds and once again let her have the bowl of soup in her cage, Penelope is eating the soup.
August 17, 2018:
Penelope was acting off yesterday, I took her blood her BG was 48 Tina got soup and meds in her it was time for me to get to work. I will be moving her and Jax over to the medical bank of cages, Pheona into their cage I hope today.
July 11, 2018:
I found some icky sticky poo in Jax and Penelope's poo box they are now isolated and on meds for the next 7 days.

I brought some snow in for the fur kids, Jax was the only one that wanted to play in it.

Jax found himself in trouble yesterday. I had Raine behind the gate in the upstairs bathroom. I know Jax jumps the gate but I figured I had time enough to get the gate up at the top of the stairs. I set him down in the kitchen he ran up the stairs jumped the gate. He is usually the one that torments the other ferrets, this time he got his comeuppance.
He got over the gate, Raine jumped on him and had him down! He found out that there are ferrets that can take him out! By the time I got up here to get him out of the bathroom he had gotten away and was trying to hid from her. She may just have cured him from jumping gates, only time will tell.

March 20, 2017:
I had put Junior in the kitchen so I set Odessa into the bathroom, saw who I thought was Farnsworth set him in there too. It turns out it was not Farnsworth, Odessa was getting beat up again. I thought maybe I had mixed him up with Jax so I went up to see if it was really Jax in the upstairs bathroom.. It was, I am now holding a ferret that I have no idea who it is, it is getting late I need to get my butt to work. I start looking at room tags, I realize Bain had gotten into the playroom with Odessa and Farnsworth. I put him back into the ferret room with his brother, start looking for Farnsworth he was up top in the sleep box. I got them all sorted out and headed off to work.
February 12, 2017:
Jax was doing some gagging and drooling so I tested him his numbers were 74 he is on soup, he is now eating it on a flat dish. Odessa and Penelope look so much alike I had to put a blue dot on Penelope's head to make sure I did not mix them up.

The two newest fur kids Jax and Penelope - I gave them the kitchen this morning, what a mistake Jax found his way into the library. Fortunately he did it before I left for work. I moved them into the bathroom.

I was looking to get some info on surrendering my 2 ferrets. I was recently diagnosed with an autoimmune issue and has caused severe allergies to my pets.
